Most transcription apps send your recordings to a server. That's a problem when it's a client call, a doctor's appointment, or a board meeting. Hushnote does all the work on your device, so it keeps working on a plane, in a basement, or anywhere with no internet signal.

Can I transcribe recordings without an internet connection?
Yes. Speech recognition and transcription run entirely on your phone after a one-time model download, even in airplane mode with zero mobile signal.
Does Hushnote upload my audio or transcripts to servers?
No. Hushnote is built strictly Private by Design. All speech recognition, speaker separation, and AI summaries execute locally on your device. Nothing is ever uploaded to our servers, and no account is required.
Can Hushnote transcribe WhatsApp and Telegram voice messages?
Yes. Simply share any voice memo, audio note, or video file from WhatsApp, Telegram, or your Files app into Hushnote to get an instant offline transcript.
How does speaker labeling work?
Hushnote uses on-device acoustic voice clustering to separate different speakers (Speaker 1, Speaker 2, etc.). You can assign real names once, and Hushnote will recognize and label them across future conversations.
What export formats are supported?
You can export full transcripts and summaries to PDF, Microsoft Word (RTF), Markdown, plain text (.txt), or synchronized SRT subtitle files.
